Ramson (Allium Ursinum), known as wild garlic, buckrams, wood or bear garlic, is a relative of onion and leek from the lily family and is a native plant to many European and Asian countries, including Georgia. Ramson leaves, flowers, buds and stems are all edible and used in various forms in Georgian, Russian, Turkish and Cornish cuisines.

It is used as a soup vegetable, or as an ingredient for a pesto sauce substituting basil. GNP's 'Ghandzili' is pickled Ramson stems, preserved in brine, and can be eaten as a starter dish or as a side salad.
